If music could get sparks flying, Ravid Kahalani and his band Yemen Blues would regularly be triggering wildfires. Coming from a Yemeni-Jewish family, the charismatic singer combines elements from the Jewish, Arabic, Muslim, and West African musical traditions with a rock-like groove, funky wind instruments and lyrical soul.
