Wishful Singing
2nd Hamburg International Music Festival
Description
What better place to feel completely free than on board a ship? The concert of a cappella ensemble »Wishful Singing« aboard the TUI Mein Schiff 4 combines the allure of the great wide world with a music programme just as varied as the seven seas. The concert takes place in the »Klanghaus«, the cruise liner’s very own concert hall, followed by a tour around the Mein Schiff 4 and a three-course set lunch including drinks in the on-board restaurant Atlantik.
For their concert at the Hamburg International Music Festival, the five marvellous vocalists from the Netherlands mix fascinating sounds from modern masters like Ligeti and Kurtág with traditional nordic folk music hits and evergreens by the Beatles and the Andrew Sisters. The Mein Schiff 4, voted »World’s best ship« in the category »Large resort ships« by the »Berlitz Cruising & Cruise Ships 2016« guide, serves as an extraordinary stage for this concert. After the concert you may enjoy a tour around the cruise liner, topped off by an exquisite lunch, which is included in the ticket price.
