Homage to Charlotte Ritter – Harbour Front Sounds
1920s Berlin
Volker Kutscher’s crime novels have reached a worldwide audience, not least thanks to their film adaptation as the »Babylon Berlin« series. Most of the attention has been on the character of Commissioner Gereon Rath, who investigates in 1920s Berlin. This evening now puts the spotlight on the female lead character Charlotte Ritter, a complex, alert, self-confident personality who recognises the danger posed by the Nazis long before 1933. Fritzi Haberlandt plays the role of the widowed landlady Gereon Raths in the film adaptation. On this evening she will read from Kutscher’s novels.
Please note: this event takes place in German.
