vision string quartet
Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival
Stealing the show from such a fantastic and likeable artist as Avi Avital is almost an impossibility. But that is exactly what the vision string quartet did last summer. At their Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival debut, the four musicians shared the stage with Avi Avital and Hauschka, performing the premiere of a Hauschka piece with Avital. Then the audience went wild with the quartet’s »solo piece«, Alberto Ginastera’s String Quartet No. 1.
There is no doubt that the loudest applause on that night was for these four young string players, all of whom were born between 1990 and 1994, and have trained under the Artemis Quartet at the Berlin’s Universität der Künste and the leader of the Alban Berg Quartet.
The four Berlin musicians are now back in Hamburg with a programme that includes Mendelssohn and Shostakovich.
