»The sun rises when you sing« were guitar legend Pat Metheny’s words to Viktoria Tolstoy after a performance. There’s no question that Scandinavian jazz can boast an incredible wealth of musical talent, and Viktoria Tolstoy is one of its most impressive representatives.
The Swedish singer has been working closely with the jazz pianist Jacob Karlzon for more than 15 years. He, as the musical director, composes the pieces for Tolstoy’s band. The two jazz musicians are now concentrating their forces in one duo project: »A Moment of Now« is inspired by their own music as well as by Edvard Grieg and the metal band Korn.
