VERLEGT: Juan de Marco’s Afro-Cuban All Stars
Das Konzert wurde in den Kleinen Saal verlegt!
Without Juan de Marco, the legendary Buena Vista Social Club would probably have sunk into oblivion ages ago. The Cuban singer, producer and arranger founded the group Afro-Cuban All Stars in 1995 with the aim of keeping son music alive; the All Stars is a four-generation project devoted to traditional Cuban music, uniting veteran performers like Compay Segundo, Pío Leyva, bass player Orlando »Cachaíto« Lopez and pianist Rubén González. The German director Wim Wenders later made the award-winning film »Buena Vista Social Club«. Afro-Cuban All Stars remains the right name for this ensemble made up of the absolute doyens of Cuban music. Their forthcoming tour of Europe includes a stop in Hamburg.
