Hamburger Symphoniker: 3. Liederabend
Was haben Brahms, Ravel, Britten und Wolf gemeinsam? In der Liederabendreihe der Hamburger Symphoniker neben allen sonst noch möglichen musikwissenschaftlich komplexen Zusammenhängen zumindest eines: Die überaus charmante und nicht nur stimmlich strahlend schöne Mezzosopranistin Rachel Frenkel. Zuletzt in Hamburg an der Staatsoper als Komponist in »Ariadne auf Naxos« zu Gast, kehrt sie nun für einen Liederabend in die Musikstadt zurück. Die israelische Mezzosopranistin Rachel Frenkel studierte an der Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv bei Prof. Mira Zakai. Von 2009 bis 2011 war sie Mitglied des Opernstudios der Staatsoper Unter den Linden. Im Sommer 2011 debütierte sie als Stimme des Falken in »Die Frau ohne Schatten« bei den Salzburger Festspielen unter Christian Thielemann, wo sie 2012 unter der Leitung von Sir Simon Rattle die Mercedes in Carmen sang. Weitere Engagements führten sie immer wieder zurück an die Staatsoper Berlin sowie an die Wiener Staatsoper, die Opéra national de Montpellier, zum Scottish Chamber Orchestra und als Cherubino zum Mostly Mozart Festival New York.

Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests. (Please note: The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.)

Please note: There are several construction sites in the immediate vicinity of the Laeiszhalle which may make it difficult to get to the concert. Please therefore plan enough time for your journey to the concert.
The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
The entrance of the Recital Hall is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall.
