The King's Singers
Their reputation is nothing short of legendary: The King’s Singers. In 1968 six students from the prestigious King’s College in Cambridge gave their first concert in London, and what was originally conceived as an ambitious project among friends soon turned into a serious success story.
With their marvellous voices, varied programmes ranging from Bach to the Beatles and their irresistible British charm, they took churches and concert halls by storm worldwide. The fans came in droves, and the creative members of the a cappella ensemble were never at a loss for ideas for exciting new projects.
To mark their 50-year stage anniversary – obviously featuring a new, younger generation of singers – the King’s Singers reward themselves and their public with a compilation of popular evergreens and compositions commissioned specially for the occasion.
