Truly legendary film music
Composer Ennio Morricone has written some truly legendary film music: he received his most recent Oscar in February 2016 for the score to Quentin Tarantino’s »The Hateful 8« (2015). He achieved immortality almost half a century before that with the soundtrack to the classic Spaghetti Western »Once Upon a Time in the West« (1968). More than 100 of the Milano Festival Opera’s musicians and singers now perform Morricone’s music in the Laeiszhalle Grand Hall – with the original film scenes as a backdrop.
