Dvořák / Poulenc / Strauss
Veriko Tchumburidze can with a good conscience be described as a wunderkind on the violin: she started to train at a conservatoire when she was only four. At the age of eight she was winning her first prizes, and when she was 16 she came out the victor at the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition for young musicians and more recently at the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition – a true once-in-a-lifetime talent. Tchumburidze is accompanied in this concert by a master of all trades: Aris Alexander Blettenberg is a pianist, composer and conductor. Blettenberg has many international prizes to his name already, e.g. first prize at the Hans von Bülow Piano Competition in Meiningen, and his compositions are performed worldwide.
