Homage to One of the Greatest Jazz Pianists of the Last Decade

When pianist Esbjörn Svensson unexpectedly died in a diving accident in 2008, the international jazz community was shattered by the news. The other members of his Esbjörn Svensson Trio, e.s.t. for short, – bass player Magnus Östrom and percussionist Dan Berglund – went their separate ways. Tonight, an all-star ensemble made up of contemporaries of Svensson’s, such as the Swedish jazz singer Viktoria Tolstoy, and other leading jazz musicians like Finnish pianist Iiro Rantala and award-winning violinist Adam Baldych pay tribute once more to Esbjörn Svensson.
