A big band transported back to the classical era: Matthias Höfs, professor at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama, has assembled an opulent programme for the brass and percussion sections of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. Unconventional arrangements of Mozart and Bach classics are matched with the 1979 Brass Symphony composed by Native Dutchman and Bavarian expat Jan Koetsier (1911-2006).
