Windfuhrs Werkstatt-Konzert

Since the orchestra was founded, the Hamburger Symphoniker has attached special importance to supporting aspiring young musicians. Thus they have maintained a close cooperation with the College of Music and Drama for many years. This unique partnership enables budding instrumental soloists, conductors and composers to make contact at an early stage with a professional orchestra, and to work with it. Under the baton of Ulrich Windfuhr we hear the first performance of a work by composition student Yuji Yao, while Tanja Tetzlaff takes the solo part in the Elgar cello concerto.
