Stewart Copeland is known primarily as the founder and drummer of the band The Police. But Copeland has also made a name for himself as a composer of film soundtracks. Under the title »Stewart Copeland Lights Up the Orchestra« he will be touring Germany together with the Babelsberg Film Orchestra, and also appears at the Elbphilharmonie with his greatest hits. The programme offers a colourful cross-section of Copeland’s career: film music, »Police« hits and works by Eberhard Schoener, with whom Copeland has shared a long and intensive collaboration.
