Science and Music
Mozart / Tchaikovsky
Science and Music: the connection between these seemingly contradictory areas fascinates the physicist and Humboldt Professor Dr Brian Foster. Since 2011, he has been organising the »Science and Music« Festival at the University of Hamburg, which offers five to six events, lectures and concerts each year at the Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY), at the Laeiszhalle and now for the first time at the Elbphilharmonie. Albert Einstein is the special focus of the series. Musical director is the British violinist Jack Liebeck. The evening begins with a lecture in English by Nobel laureate Professor Venki Ramakrishnan.
