The music of Salut Salon revolves around the oldest topic of mankind – with the most resultant problems and subsequently also the most beautiful music: love. Love tends to extremes, as does music. As the continuo of life, love is emotion and decision, feels good and hurts, forgives and demands, speaks and keeps silent. Music absorbs these discrepancies of life. Whether Romeo and Juliet dance to Sergei Prokofiev, whether Astor Piazzolla’s  »Libertango« invokes the freedom of love or Salut Salon transforms Francesco Sartori’s  »Time To Say Goodbye« into a love duet for two musical saws – through the ages music has always been a narrative of passion, fury, conflict and reconciliation.

In »Liebe« (Love) Salut Salon play with the many facets of the »nicest trivial pursuit« in the world and ultimately see it with humour (how could it be otherwise)? The ECHO prizewinners cross genre borders with virtuosity – they arrange classical music, Piazzolla’s Tango Nuevo, as well as their own songs and hit medleys, creating a programme full of passion.
