Sachiko Furuhata / Piano Recital
Beethoven / Chopin / Mussorgsky
In tonight’s recital, pianist Sachiko Furuhata plays the »pure« piano music of Frédéric Chopin: the melodious programme reflects the boundless imagination of the Romantic master. After the interval, she presents Modest Mussorgsky’s piano cycle »Pictures at an Exhibition«, in which the Russian composer translates ten paintings by his recently deceased friend Victor Hartmann into music.
