Rokia Traoré

Rokia Traoré stands for the wealth of music that Mali has to offer. She has been working on the project »Dream Mandé« for some time now with young musicians and singers from the Fondation Passerelle in Bamako, which she set up herself. In her new concert programme, she combines traditional songs from Mali with French chansons by Jacques Brel or Léo Ferré, arranged for West African percussion and stringed instruments and innovative guitar sounds.
