The coronavirus pandemic has changed the way people think about concepts such as home and heritage, and death and dying. So it was for the American-Italian folk duo Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi in their adopted country of Ireland, which they were suddenly not allowed to leave. Their new album »They’re Calling Me Home« is about the longing for the security of home, and death – the final call home.
