Reeperbahn Festival

The Reeperbahn Festival, Europe’s largest club festival, ranks among the top five best events in the music and digital scenes alongside SXSW (Austin, Texas), Eurosonic (Groningen, Netherlands) and Great Escape (Brighton, England). After an extremely successful debut at the Elbphilharmonie in 2017, the Reeperbahn Festival returns to Hamburg’s new concert hall with five concerts in 2018. On the line-up: the French-Cuban duo Ibeyi, made up of twin sisters Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Diaz. Their two previously released albums have already caused a stir internationally with music that features elements of soul, hip-hop, synthie pop and Afro-Cuban rhythms but also political statements. And: Hamburg-based electronic music producer David August, who has reorchestrated pieces especially for this concert, accompanied by a special light show on the stage of the Elbphilharmonie.
