Spotlight on Mieczysław Weinberg
Soviet composer Mieczysław Weinberg would have celebrated his 100th birthday in 2019. A good reason to pay tribute to him with a spotlight focusing on his chamber music in particular. Thus the Brussels-based Quatuor Danel plays all Weinberg’s string quartets on a single weekend, in chronological order. His first four string quartets are heard at this, the first concert in the series.
