One instrument, three styles: »Guitar Celebration« brings together three musicians from very different genres. Scottish musician Ian Melrose has been playing in the acoustic fingerstyle for more than 30 years, while Rüdiger Krause is a committed advocate of the music of Carla Bley, representing the jazz world in this concert. And the experienced flamenco guitarist Nikos Tsiachris brings with him a dose of passionate music from Spain. In addition to solo performances, the three guitarists also demonstrate the instrument’s richness and versatility as an ensemble.
