Piano Recital: Evgeni Koroliov
Bach / Schubert
»It’s like seeing an enormous mountain from a distance, yet still being able to estimate how beautiful the view is from the peak.« What a wonderful metaphor Evgeni Koroliov has found for the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. He has never lost his love for the baroque master ever since he first encountered the famous Prelude in C Major at the age of seven. Today, the Hamburg professor and pianist is regarded as one of the best Bach interpreters of our times. So it is no surprise that the pianist should dedicate half his recital to the composer.
