Piano Recital: Anna Vinnitskaya
Schumann / Brahms / Prokofiev / Bach
»Instead of just paying attention to tempi and dynamics, I can use my instrument to describe something; I can paint a picture or tell a story on the piano,« explained Anna Vinnitskaya in interview on the secret of her expressive playing. And it’s true that she is a fascinating storyteller at the keyboard.
Her many-faceted touch, sometimes powerful and passionate, at others all soft of tread, opens up undreamt-of sound and visual worlds. Hamburg can be justly proud to have discovered this remarkably talented artist so early: in 2009, Ms Vinnitskaya was made probably the youngest professor in its history at the city’s University of Music.
