Philharmonic Academy
Mozart
Kent Nagano set up the Philharmonic Academy in 2015, at the beginning of his tenure as Hamburg’s General Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra. These concerts are a prelude to each new season. The Academy is an »open« project, geared to be experimental while also dedicated to important composers, prominent topics, and musical and thematic exploration. The orchestra’s musicians form groups, collectives and ensembles of various sizes.
