Nik Bärtsch’s Mobile Extended

The acoustic quartet Mobile is the source from which the Swiss pianist Nik Bärtsch conceives his ritual musical thinking. A concept that is influenced not only by sound reduction and repetition, but also by traditional Japanese music as well as jazz, funk and minimal music. »Ritual Groove Music« has a way of pulling the listener in. As Mobile Extended, the group expands to accommodate a string quintet.
