Song with stamina
The sensuous beauty of spoken language is rarely as evident as in French. So it is perhaps no surprise that France has a lively and refined tradition of ensemble singing. The NDR Vokalensemble and its chief conductor Klaas Stok now explore that tradition with works by Frank Martin, Pierre Villette, Yves Daniël-Lesur and Olivier Messiaen.
