NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra / Stefan Asbury

A tribute to mark the 100th birthday of the composer György Ligeti: Conductor Stefan Asbury returns to the podium of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, while the pianist François-Frédéric Guy makes his debut. Tristan Murail’s second piano concerto »L’Oeil du Cyclone« was premiered to great acclaim in Paris in early 2022. In this programme, the work by the French spectralist is set as an exciting and effective contrast alongside three outstanding orchestral works by György Ligeti whose 100th birthday the music world will commemorate in 2023.
