NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra / Stefan Asbury

»My music is a reflection of my dreams,« says Unsuk Chin, resident composer with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, explaining the diversity of her compositions. The South Korean has dedicated her latest work »Spira« to the »spira mirabilis«, the marvellous geometric spiral pattern by which nature forms snail shells and galaxies. Unsuk Chin zooms as if with a microscope into the inner life of sounds in order to explore the biological process of growth and transformation.
