»Age of Anxiety« is the title of the NDR festival focusing on 20th century American music. The symphony of the same name by Leonard Bernstein is heard tonight under the baton of Marin Alsop. The solo part is played by the exceptional pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, who returns to the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra for this concert.
