Gautier Capuçon fans looking forward to the French cellist’s return to the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in December 2020 had to content themselves with an online stream owing to the coronavirus lockdown. Now the star cellist can be heard again close up, live and in colour: Capuçon is coming to Hamburg, making up an exciting team with the Spanish conductor Pablo Heras-Casado for a performance of Edward Elgar’s Cello Concerto.
