Renée Fleming has been one of the world’s most in-demand sopranos for 35 years, and it’s not only her legendary Strauss and Mozart interpretations that cause a stir. German performances by the multiple Grammy winner are rare and always eagerly anticipated. One such opportunity is now here: thanks to a close relationship with chief conductor Alan Gilbert, the American grand dame of the opera is coming to Hamburg to perform with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra ahead of their European tour.
