NDR Chamber Music Concert
Farrenc / Wolf / Berio
New sounds played by nine: in the fourth NDR chamber music concert of the season, nine musicians explore a repertoire that will be new territory for many concertgoers. Who is familiar with Louise Farrenc’s Nonet, which was premiered in 1850 by none other than the famous violinist Joseph Joachim? And who knew that Nino Rota not only composed film music (he won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for his soundtrack to »The Godfather«) but also works for the concert hall?
