Flautist Ya-Ju Shih takes her audience on a thrilling journey through time and space – from the Chinese Han Dynasty and the music of the indigenous Taiwanese population to Asian pop hits from the time of the Second World War. Western classical music, jazz and pop are fused with the mystery and reserve of the Far East. Ya-Ju Shih is accompanied by the Taiwan AdLib Band, which provides a rich and full sonority with piano, erhu, pipa, electric guitar and drums.
