»Mozart reist nach Prag« / »Mozart Goes to Prague«

At the family concert »Mozart Goes to Prague«, the Symphoniker Hamburg takes the audience on a musical journey back in time – back to Prague in the year 1787. The musicians of the Symphoniker Hamburg make the long trip pass more quickly, and upon arrival the audience is welcomed by an entire orchestra! They hear the historic first performance of Mozart’s »Prague« Symphony preceded by extracts from »The Marriage of Figaro«. The people of Prague loved the opera more than anything, and even the city’s laundry girls could whistle the arias… Everybody sings and dances together in the concert – a musical party in Mozart’s honour!
