Mouse on Mars / »Dimensional People«
Elbphilharmonie Summer / Kampnagel International Summer Festival
When Jan St. Werner and Andi Toma released their first tracks in the early 1990s, the critics were busy with the search for a definition: was this music »kraut dub«, »doom house« or »future grind«, or was it »post-techno«? Whatever the label, the veterans of abstract electronic music enjoyed ample success, particularly in England and the USA. At the Elbphilharmonie Summer Festival, Mouse on Mars presents its latest album, the eleventh in its discography, entitled »Dimensional People«. In the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall, the duo performs with the support of a unique line-up of musicians: Zach Condon of band Beirut, Benjamin Lanz of The National and the New York rapper Spank Rock.
