The first piece that Daniel Lozakovich ever heard on the violin was Bach’s Violin Concerto in A minor. It was a formative experience for the six-year-old, and one that instilled in him a desire to learn to play the instrument himself. It wasn’t long before the child prodigy’s talent was recognised – evidence of his rapid development can be found in countless YouTube videos. Although still boyish in appearance, the violinist, who was born in Sweden in 2001, demonstrates an outstanding mastery of his instrument. A talent that he now shows off at the Elbphilharmonie with his favourite composer and inspiration – Johann Sebastian Bach.
