Metamorphosen Berlin / Johannes Moser
»Tchaikovsky Gala«
The Metamorphosen Berlin under Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt dedicate a concert to the composer Tchaikovsky. An evening of virtuosity with delightful melodies, playfulness and sensuous sounds. Bayerische Rundfunk was full of praise for the ensemble’s recording for Sony Classical: »It’s been a long time since we heard Tchaikovsky performed with such delicacy and so free of cliché, and yet so stirring and sensuous.« The soloist this evening is the internationally acclaimed cello star Johannes Moser, who performs Joseph Haydn’s famous Cello Concerto in C major.
