Very British – Literary classics and music

Metamorphosen Berlin present a multifaceted evening of music and readings. The chamber orchestra, conducted by Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, plays excerpts from the album »Very British«, which has been highly praised in the international press: English High Romanticism by Edward Elgar and Peter Warlock, complemented by a melodrama from the pen of Enjott Schneider. For this, Dietmar Wunder reads from Stevenson’s famous novella »Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde« in his incomparable voice, which he lends to the title character (Daniel Craig) in the latest James Bond films. Metamorphosen Berlin underlay and surround the story with colourful sounds. Among others, the young cellist Philipp Schupelius, who won the prize of the German Music Competition this year, performs as soloist.

Please note: this event takes place in German.
