Messiah
hamburgVOKAL / Ensemble Schirokko
Handel’s »Messiah« is one of the most popular works ever composed: the oratorio narrates the story of Jesus – from the annunciation of his birth to the death on the cross and revelation. The well-known earworm of the piece is the »Hallelujah« chorus, which has thrilled audiences since its Dublin premiere in 1742. This masterpiece of music history is performed by two young Hamburg-based ensembles, Kammerchor hamburgVOKAL and Ensemble Schirokko.
