Martin Tingvall

Pianist Martin Tingvall’s new album, on which he captivates listeners with his own unique genre, is called »The Rocket«. However, the name is slightly misleading – you’ll be looking in vain for rocket-like velocity here. Tingvall’s music is calm and quiet: one of the first pieces is called »Floating«, and another is titled »No Gravity«. And that’s exactly how this music feels: weightless and free, but without ever sliding into triviality.
