Martha Argerich Festival
Martha Argerich / Mischa Maisky / Renaud Capuçon
Teaming up in twos, threes and fours... Argentine brother and sister Karin Lechner and Sergio Tiempo present a scintillating sonata by the »monk and rascal« Poulenc. The equally virtuosic violinist Renaud Capuçon gets in on the act for a passionate trio Mendelssohn »cawed« with his two eldest children while suffering from a cold. Mischa Maisky is joined by his son and daughter for a performance of Brahms’ piano quartet, which really touches the soul: the work explores themes borrowed from Goethe’s tragic novel »The Sorrows of Young Werther«.
