Marina Baranova & Damian Marhulets
Atlas of Imaginary Places
Piano and synthesizer, does that even go together? If you ask Marina Baranova and Damian Marhulets, the answer is a resounding yes! For over two decades, the two have been a couple both artistically and privately. The pianist and composer Marina Baranova is a musical border crosser whose work combines ravishingly light, transparent sounds with complex structures. Damian Marhulets, on the other hand, radically crosses the boundaries between genres and genres with exciting electronic sound experiments. Reviews celebrate the artist couple’s current album, »Atlas of Imaginary Places«, as a »spectacular backdrop that slowly unfolds before the viewer’s eye«. In Hamburg, Marina Baranova and Damian Marhulets are now unfolding their musical universe in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall.
