Love or death: which is stronger? This existential question is the central theme in Fritz Lang’s silent film »Destiny« (Der müde Tod, 1921). A young woman is determined to do whatever it takes to save her dead lover from the hereafter. But even though Death is tired of killing, he refuses to be tricked.
