For almost four decades, Lydie Auvray has been travelling the world with the accordion, which became familiar through the French »musette« style, continually reinventing it by incorporating influences from foreign countries into her music. She doesn’t simply process people’s experiences – everyone who listens to the »grande dame of the accordion« undertakes an emotional journey through the musical landscapes of Europe and beyond: waltzes and tangos, gypsy swing and Caribbean rhythms.
