Johann Sebastian Bach was born 333 years ago. The composer went on to influence music history like none other before or since. The Lux Nova Duo traces Bach’s tracks up to the present day. The unusual combination of guitar and accordion shows the works of the great Baroque composer and those of subsequent generations from a completely new angle.
The Lux Nova Duo was founded in 2012 at the Barcelona College of Music, where Lydia Schmidl and Jorge Paz Verástegui met while studying there. In the meantime, the two musicians are welcome guests at festivals and in concert halls all over the world.
