Lucja Madziar / Katharina Sellheim
Janáček / Szymanowski / Catoire / Ravel
Lucja Madziar and Katharina Sellheim have been a musical duo since 2012, and have in that time conquered the hearts of many an audience. For their programme in this concert they have selected four sonatas for violin and piano: Leoš Janáček’s sonata is withdrawn and reflective, while Karol Szymanowski’s is lyrical and turbulent; Georgy Catoire’s is amalgamated into a multi-layered tone poem, and last of all, Maurice Ravel’s masterpiece is rich in contrast with three distinct movements.
