Lucerne Festival Strings / Arabella Steinbacher / Daniel Dodds
Beethoven / Schoeck / Mozart
»Only when I was 17 did I dare tackle the Beethoven Violin Concerto for the first time« - thus the now 35-year-old Arabella Steinbacher in an interview, telling of the long artistic maturing process that this unique work calls for. Today, it is one of her favourite repertoire pieces. Like quite a few other musicians of her generation, Ms Steinbacher was a product of the Munich talent school run by the legendary Ana Chumachenco; this evening she is accompanied by the kindred spirits of the Lucerne Festival Strings in her interpretation of this masterpiece.
