The trio »Lübberty« led by the Hamburg guitarist Arne Lübbert is a breath of fresh air for the ears. The three members exude a spirit of outrageous joy and imagination. A sophisticated sound, uncompromising interplay and original compositions that have everything – from spherical tones and straight swing to tight grooves. Surprises and enjoyment are par for the course here.
Arne Lübbert, Lars Hansen and Anne Diedrichsen – three musicians who searched for and found each other. What is Lübberty for them? Being free together: experimenting, pushing boundaries, discovering new things, and making music as a unit. And all the while being able to rely on each other. The result is melodic music that resists any attempt at categorisation: quite simply, freedom for the ears.
