Lost
Reflector Laurie Anderson
»I want to lose myself in my art, irrespective of the medium,« says Laurie Anderson. »For me getting lost, losing my bearings, is a way to find freedom.« She has chosen cellist Rubin Kodheli, with whom she has been improvising for three years, as her accomplice to help her infiltrate what can be expected.
Kodheli was born and bred in Albania, studied in Belgium, Munich and New York, and is one of today’s outstanding visionaries on his instrument. In this intense duo, Laurie Anderson also plays the violin, with which she embarked on her career as a performance artist over 45 years ago. As a visual counterpoint to the freedom she longs to achieve, she also makes use of pictures of real places in »Lost«.
